Last year brought me some great memories and new opportunities. One of which was the transition to shooting all of my weddings with Bellus. I'm able to offer my clients so much more and at the same time, work with a great group of people the really push me creatively. As of January, this move is final. What does this mean for SP&D? Here is the breakdown:

*All of my weddings for the 2012 season and beyond will be shot with Bellus. Whether you find me through our site or theirs, everything from pricing, processing, and ordering will be handled by Bellus. Current clients will continue to work directly with SP&D to fulfill and finish their orders.

*SP&D will continue shooting senior and family sessions! We're in the process of overhauling our package structure for both and will have that ready soon. Any session booked for this year will be completed in house with Anna and I. 

*Design services will still be available as well. Keep us in mind for custom save the dates, senior party invites, or holiday cars.

Everyone who knows me well jokes about how terrible I am at answering my cell phone!  I'm not sure what it is...it's always on silent, or in my purse, or in the car and I hardly ever answer a call or text right away.  Shelby was my roommate our freshman year in college and one of my very best friends.  The night before her birthday I missed a call from her because my phone was on silent.  I was just about to call her back (only about two minutes later), when John's cell phone rang and it was her.  Right then, I knew that Marcus had proposed!!  John answered the phone and chatted with her for a few minutes while I was chasing him around trying to talk to her myself.  I couldn't be happier for Shelby & Marcus and can't wait to be a part of their special day next August.

John and I traveled to Panora, IA for this session and were so glad that we did!  We went to several different areas for the session so we captured a lot of different looks.  It was really fun to shoot with such close friends and also to be in a totally different location!  We both love all of Marcus & Shelby's natural reactions.  You can tell that they are so in love and absolutely perfect for each other.

As fall comes to an end and winter seems like it is just around the corner, we wanted to get a few of our favorite family sessions up on the blog! Shooting weddings, families, seniors, and even engagement sessions during the fall is definitely one of our favorite things to do. We don't have to deal with the extreme heat of summer or the frequent rain of spring and the colors are perfect. Here are just a few favorites!

Anna and I shot our last wedding of the season on October 15th. This is the first Saturday in a long while that I haven't been charging batteries and prepping for the day's session. Instead, I have a little time to work in the office! As much as we enjoy working with our clients, it's nice to be able to sit down and get some images on the blog!

Matt and I shot Elizabeth & Nathan's wedding this summer. It's one of the few 2011 weddings we shot as the "Bellus" crew which was pretty fun. Despite the hot and humid weather all day, I absolutely love the images we captured. 

It was great meeting with Elizabeth and Nathan a few weeks back and hearing all the nice things they had to say about their photos. We're truly fortunate to work with such wonderful people!
